Pokémon Ruby version & Sapphire version

Double Your Fun
The biggest gameplay breakthrough announced so far is support for trainers to take two Pokémon into battle instead of just one. Since each Pokémon offers a unique combination of strengths and weaknesses, doubling the number that can battle at once adds immeasurably to the games' richness and depth.

Looking Very Nice, Thank You
The Pokémon epic makes a great graphical leap forward with Ruby and Sapphire. It's as if the developers have been biding their time, waiting for a system with the processing muscle of the Game Boy Advance.

In the battle scenes, a rich palette and subtle shading gives both the trainer and the Pokémon themselves a breathtaking degree of realism. The same meticulous attention to detail can be seen in the world scenes. Artistic touches like ripples on a pond and intricate ironwork in a modern city bring the world of Pokémon to life like never before. You can almost see the individual tiles on the roofs!

New Pokémon
Nintendo also announces the Japanese names and stats of three of the games' new Pokémon: Pelipper, a "Water Bird Pokémon" that looks much like a pelican; Samehader, a shark-like "Ferocious Pokémon," and the grumpy-looking Kinococo, a "Mushroom Pokémon."

** BERRY PROGRAM UPDATE **
In Pokémon Ruby and Pokémon Sapphire, certain berry trees will stop producing berries after you've played your game for one year. Now, there are three different ways to make sure that your berry trees never dry up. It's easy!

Transfer Jirachi to Your Team
If you place a deposit to pre-order Pokémon Colosseum at a participating retailer, you will receive a Bonus Disc which contains a special gift -- Jirachi! You will automatically receive the berry program update when you use a Nintendo GameCube Game Boy Advance cable to transfer Jirachi to your Pokémon Ruby or Sapphire Game Pak.

Play Pokémon Colosseum
You'll automatically receive the berry program update by using one of the connective features when you link Pokémon Ruby or Pokémon Sapphire to Pokémon Colosseum using a Nintendo GameCube Game Boy Advance cable.
